New Year Resolutions – Ideas
Every year you can guarantee that everyone you know will be making New year resolutions but how many stick to them? Not many and I have been guilty of that in the past but not for want of trying.
So why do people give up on this annual fresh start?
The simple reason being is a resolution is not treated as it should be and that is a yearly goal or end of year target. Because of this they become a distant memory and you find that you are in the exact same place as you was the year before.
To truly make new year resolutions ideas become reality you need to break it down and plan it so you have something structured to work towards.

New Year New Start – Resolution Ideas
Everyone will be different with regards to what they want to achieve in a new year resolution as we all have different likes and dislikes so here is some ideas:
- Start Meditating
- Change poor habits
- Learn a musical instrument
- Take up a sport – a new one or reconnect with an old one.
- Learn Something New Each Day
- Do something you have always wanted to do but never have
- Look into starting a business
- Take a course
- Pick Up a Hobby
- More Family time
- Read more
These suggestions and any you have all have one thing in common and that is you need to have a plan if you are ever going to stick to them. We are creatures of habit so you just need to learn to change your habits and create new routines.
Meditating is a great way of clearing your mind and relaxing you and is easy to master once you have the hang of it. If you can channel your mind and reap the benefits then you are right on course to achieve your new Resolutions.

I firmly believe your biggest enemy that will stop you achieving your resolutions is your mind. Meditate and create a new mindset and you will feel re-energized to nail those resolutions!
While your sitting there feeling guilty of how much Christmas food you have consumed take time to think of the year just gone, did you achieve what you wanted to? if the answer is no or no way near then you really have to try a new approach as clearly your previous ones have not worked!
Ask yourself “what have I got to lose in trying a new approach?” I want you to better yourself, I am not going to receive a prize or get a reward for pushing you so it make you have a better year its up to you however I do have a passion for helping people and if I can then that is my reward.
Only you can change yourself and to do that you just have to listen and open your mind to change. Procrastination is the biggest killer of dreams. I bet that is what stopped you sustaining your resolutions! That and no planning.
Looking Ahead to the New Year
So looking ahead to the new year you need to change that mindset and create a plan to sustain your resolutions, its easier than it sounds but it is up to you.
- Change your mindset – Clear your mind using meditation
- Choose your resolutions
- Create mini goals to help you sustain them
- Create new life habits
- Create new routines
- Stop procrastinating
- Execute the plan!!!!
